The SD404B card is designed for embedding balanced 110 Ohm AES signals into a SDI signal. The SD404B provides four copies of the SDI signal with embedded audio at their outputs.

Input signal connections for the 110 Ohm AES inputs are made via 3-pin Phoenix pluggable screw terminals located on the TB102 termination assembly (included), while the SDI input and output signal connections are made via the 75 Ohm BNC connectors on the MF100 or MF104 Serialboxx rear panel.

The SD404B is designed to receive digital video signals transmitted over 75 Ohm coaxial cable (BELDEN 8281 or equivalent). An adaptive cable equalizer provides equalization for high-bit-rate digital data transmitted over a long transmission line.

The SD404B can be installed in any slot in the MF100 or MF104 Serialboxx frame.The TB102 termination assembly mounts on the rear of the MF100 or MF104 frame directly behind the slot where the SD404B is installed.
