POD5 is a dual stereo headset amplifier with a separate external talkback input.When activated, the external talkback is fed to the right ear while a mono sum of the stereo signal is fed to the left ear.

Two 1⁄4" TRS headset jacks and level controls are located on the front panel. A screwdriver adjustment for talkback level is also provided. Connections to POD5 are via screw terminals located on the rear panel. Channels A and B have separate talkback control inputs.They can be controlled separately or tied together.The talkback input is activated by grounding the appropriate control input.
