The RLM24 meter accepts 24 balanced (110 Ohm) AES / EBU digital audio signal inputs via 3-pin pluggable screw terminations located on the rear panel.
The RLM24 provides 24 stereo LED bar graph displays. Each bar graph displays VU and Peak information simultaneously.
Below each meter pair is an LED illuminated pushbutton switch. If the input signal is lost the LED in the pushbutton switch turns on and the internal alarm is sounded. To cancel the audible alarm, depress the pushbutton. The LED will remain illuminated until the signal is restored. Loss of signal can be due to interruption, extended silence that exceeds a preset time period or a signal that falls below the preset threshold for an extended time period.
The RLM24 meter panel is equipped with two removable power supplies in a dual redundant configuration. The system will operate properly with only one supply. Dual redundancy is extended to the primary A.C. mains. Each power supply has its own IEC, fused power socket and connects via a detachable molded power cord to the A.C. mains. A GPI connection, for power supply status, GPIO a DB9 connector is provided at the rear of the frame.
The unit operates from A.C. mains source from 95 to 240 Volt at 50 to 60 Hz.
The RLM24 occupies two rack units of standard 19 inch rack space (3.5 inches).
Independent adjustment of threshold detection level ranging from 20dB to –70dB for each meter pair is available from a central control panel. Silence time period adjustment ranging from 0 to 240 seconds is also available through the central control panel.
Each RLM24 has its unique address set by using the SETUP dipswitches at the rear of the frame.

CENTRAL CONFIGURATION PANEL
The Central Configuration Panel is a single, half rack unit (similar to the WBS POD series). It is capable of setting, and displaying the configuration parameters of all meters in 12 RLM24 units. There are four 4 character alphanumeric displays and four rotary knobs on the front panel. The displays show the selected RLM24 frame number, the selected meter number and the preset threshold level and time delay for the selected meter. The four knobs, located below the alphanumeric displays each operate a rotary shaft-encoder. These are used to select the frame and meter and set the desired threshold and time delay for the selected meter. Independent threshold levels can be adjusted for each mono channel and time delay can be set for each stereo pair. A rack mounting kit for the Central Configuration Panel may be ordered as an option.
CONTROL NETWORK CONNECTION
RS-422 control network is connected in a daisy chain fashion through all the frames in the system. Any frame can be quickly removed from the network by disconnecting the two communication cables and plugging the two cables into each other.
