The 8200 Series delivers a strategic,modular solution for the distribution and conversion of audio and video signals. The two standard frames of this system are the MF-82/10 and the MF-82/12. The MF82 frame occupies two vertical units of rack space. The MF-82/12 can house up to twelve 8200 series cards and two power supplies, while the MF-82/10 can house up to ten cards and two power supplies.

Headers for each amplifier slot are accessible from the rear of the frame. Terminal interface assemblies for the appropriate amplifier card plug into these headers to allow for input and output connections.

When distributing signals on BNC terminations, the MF-82/10 frame provides space for loop through inputs and 8 outputs per card, while the MF-82/12 terminations have terminating inputs and 6 outputs.

As an option, MF82 frames are capable of accepting an AES and a video reference input. These two inputs are on 75 Ohm BNC connectors, located on the M82REF optional rear assembly.

The ingenious, hinged, quick release front panel facilitates rapid access to controls and tallies located on the front edge of the amplifier cards.During installation and system setup, the panels may be easily removed to afford unobstructed access to all cards and their controls and tallies.

Power supply redundancy in the MF82 frame is carried through the primary mains to the separate switchmode supplies. Two separately fused AC power cords are provided. The switchmode supplies operation on 115V/60Hz to 230V/50Hz without any special setup and require 130 VA maximum.
