The D8206 is an AES reference tone generator which can simultaneously output two independent reference signals (DARS) as well as a word clock signal. The two reference signals can be set independently for tone or digital silence. The D8206 can be locked to an external AES reference (sample rate 32 to 96 kHz) or to a video black signal, as well as, an internal 48 kHz oscillator. The D8206 provides two copies of each of the two DARS as well as word clock output on the termination assembly. The two independent DARS are represented as Output 1 and 2, refer to Terminal Options sheets for the different configurations.The DARS signal outputs consist of a Channel A and B. Each can be set for fixed frequency (400 or 1000 Hz) and one of seven predetermined levels varying from -60 to 0dBFS. The D8206 may also be programmed to provide continuously variable control of the frequency and output level of either channel. In the variable frequency and level mode the two front edge, 10 turn, trim controls are used.The upper trim varies output level while the lower trim varies output frequency. |
